Sales of Harry's Paintings
Examples of possible ways of printing and framing my paintings
Because I create most of my art using an Apple iPad tablet, Apple Pencil and various drawing/painting programs, there are a variety of ways of purchasing my paintings at several online services. I have selected two services to produce copies of my paintings.
The first one, Easy Canvas Prints, is a service that I have been using for about years with excellent, very affordable results. This is the service I used for all of the paintings in my Art@Cary exhibition. The emphasis at Easy Canvas Prints is on producing affordable prints with enough options to satisfy your basic needs.
The second one, Pictorem, is a full featured printing and framing solution which gives you lots of different choices so that you can make your framed painting fit exactly into your decor. Pictorem has excellent tools for visualizing various sizes of framed paintings in a variety of room settings.
With both of these solutions I have established a fee of $100 for the image used in the print. Each of the services adds on their charges for printing, framing and delivery. I make nothing from their aspect of the sale.
From my viewpoint I prefer to signup with a service, upload my paintings to a private area of their website, configure my pricing and let the service take care of the rest of the transaction with the customer. Once the order is placed, the service deposits $100 into my PayPal account. The service ships the finished painting directly to customer via a parcel delivery service.
The Pictorem service works exactly this way. It is a wonderful system matched perfectly to the various ecommerce services provided on the Internet.
The Easy Canvas Prints service does not (yet) have the same capabilities as Pictorem -- but if you are willing to live with the several options I am making available, it is less expensive. With this service you place your order through me, making your selections on my webpages.
To keep this simple, I will offer three different sizes of prints, and two framing choices: No frame and a simple thin black frame. I will charge you $100 for each print. To that charge I will add (with no fee) the charges for printing, possible framing and delivery charges. When you submit your order, you will be paying me with a credit card through PayPal. I will place the order with Easy Canvas Prints paying for your painting through my PayPal account. Easy Canvas Prints will ship your finished painting directly to you via a parcel delivery service.
Having said that, now you must choose which of the two services you want to use to purchase your painting. My suggestion: try using the Easy Canvas Prints and see if you can get what you want. If that fails, move over to Pictorem, understanding that it might be more expensive than the same thing on Easy Canvas Prints, but that if you want more choices, you can get them on Pictorem.

Choose Print and Framing Service
You must now decide which of the two printing and framing services you want to use:
- Easy Canvas Prints: for copies of paintings with a useful but limited set of choices.
- Pictorem: for copies of paintings with many more choices of sizes, frames, mattes, and styles of mounting.
