I just received a very interesting message from YouTube / Google showing the comparative performance of ISPs in streaming video.  The display shows several types of information:

The page opens showing you the load on your network over an average 24 hour period.  This is pretty much the same for each ISP in Lexington.  If you click on the tab at the bottom right of the chart (icon 3) you can compare the load and performance of all three ISPs in Lexington.  If you click on the right icon at the upper right of the chart (icon 2) you will see the performance of your ISP.  This is the most interesting set of charts.  Here is the comparison of performance of the ISPs in Lexington.

Although the charts are pretty small above (you can click on the image to see a larger version), the one takeaway is that little RCN does better than the other ISP giants.
