Embarrassed?

The answer, for those of you coming here from my Facebook question, is the third response.  For extra points, what is the country due east of Iraq?

I was looking at a video from CNN and was struck by my uneasiness in remembering the where Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and Afghanistan were geographically in relation to each other.  How could I have been watching the news for the last news and not have mastered this by now?

Here is an interesting quiz: http://www.funtrivia.com/flashquiz/index.cfm?qid=123255

We saw Hugo last night:  Go see this wonderful film that is good because:
  1. Great story
  2. Homage to great films of the past
  3. Steam Punk images make great subjects for 3D photography.
  4. Historical accuracy.
On that latter point, here from Wikipedia, is the backstory:

The overall backstory and primary features of Georges Méliès' life as depicted in the film are largely accurate: he did become interested in film after seeing a demonstration of the Lumière brothers' camera, he was magician and toymaker, he experimented with automata, he did own a theatre (Theatre Robert-Houdin), he was forced into bankruptcy, his film stock was reportedly melted down for its cellulose, he became a toy salesman at the Montparnasse station, and he was eventually awarded the Légion d'honneur (Legion of honor) medal after a period of terrible neglect. Many of the early silent films shown in the movie are Méliès' actual works such as Le voyage dans la lune.
